I was looking for an old school boombox for a covered backyard patio with some modern features like Bluetooth and USB. A CD player was a must for all formats as I've burned a lot of non-standard CDs in my time. This is mostly true and I am very happy with the purchase. The AM/FM tuner is very good, the CD works well and the sound is very good. The thing will turn very loud. The bass boost could be better, but it sounds pretty good. The front speakers could be protected by a front grille and the lack of a remote control (which I didn't need) are minor downsides. The lights are out of sync with the music, but I usually turn them off or on low settings, which looks nice. Bluetooth works fine and I haven't tried USB as I don't have a flash drive with music on it. All in all, it was exactly what I was looking for for a backyard and late night howling moon.
