Even at maximum voltage, it's not strong enough. But this is a great product.

Ideal for removing monitors from your desk. However, even in the tightest position, the arms aren't strong enough to hold the monitors in an intermediate position between the up and down positions. If I have to pull the monitors up or down, they just fall down. The "cable covers" don't work at all. As the cover slides inward when the monitor is moved, it pulls on the cable and thus removes the cover as the cable and cover move in the same direction. So I just don't use wire cases, which is a shame. But they keep my monitors on the wall and above the table which is what I wanted.
