This was a gift for my slim almost 11 year old granddaughter who is 59 inches tall and weighs 74 pounds. "Big" - not sloppy, softness is comfortable, warm - but not excessive, a solid color Plus sweatshirt really looks like it's much more expensive - especially with the embroidered Champion logo. Add that the size I bought was large and my granddaughter has a low waist which usually makes it difficult to decide on a size.
