Review on πŸ”§ High-Performance Straight Finishing Tool - W1010 by Aaron Schultz

You should pay me to keep this piece of metal!

The picture does not show the quality of this hammer at all. I bought this based on the fact that I am skeptical of negative reviews as most customers have positive experiences with most of the products. This hammer is different. As other reviewers have pointed out; Despite the standard photo, the sample I received had 1) a wavy, partially concave and totally asymmetrical head which in its current state could not perform the function it was intended for. 2) Grinding present on supposedly hardened surfaces was carelessly done. There is discoloration that will cause hardening on the impact surfaces to be removed. 3) There are casting defects that lead to cratering on the surface of the hammer! That's a factory second at best. In fact, it had to be melted down and recast. 4) I saw a 6 year old kid install the hammer head more skillfully. No kidding, it's not installed straight, flush, or even permanently. The wedges used protrude. I've seen the best examples of a $3 hammer. They charged me 5 times more! The only way this hammer would even remotely be functional is if I took the time to put it on the lathe, finish it properly by finishing both surfaces, and harden it myself. If you don't have access to a lathe, forge, hardfacing machine and/or don't want to spend 10 hours fixing a hammer abortion these guys will let you out of their factory, DO NOT BUY THIS HAMMER!
