Suitable for hand washing silk tops. Cleans better than dry cleaning without disturbing chemical-sensitive household members. One piece of advice I've seen online and found reliable for predicting how well a silk item will hand wash: crush a piece of the item in your hand and if it snaps back into place smoothly, it's likely to wash fine with the right hand wash detergent like this. If it falls back into place wrinkled, it may not turn out as well, and it's better to take it to the dry cleaner. 2. Silk Tip: After rinsing off the suds, do a quick cold water soak with a little white vinegar, which will provide a clean rinse and help restore the silk's subtle shine before a final cold water rinse only do h20 . and dry the item. I use less product than stated to make rinsing easier and reduce costs and I find it works very well. Of course, heavily soiled laundry needs more. My only complaint about this product is that I'm sick of the smell. I agree with the previous reviewer that the wool and cashmere washes have a nicer, more natural smell and wish they had added something like a very mild lavender or other option for a delicate wash. Smells are so subjective that a few/multiple choices would be good for all our noses :)
