To be honest I was hesitant to buy it. It seemed like a lot of money "just" for a puzzle board, but I knew I had to keep the puzzles off the dinner table to save my marriage. After reading countless reviews I decided to purchase this puzzle board and am very glad I did. It's big enough to comfortably put together the 1000 piece Jigsaw Puzzles We Love2. Four large drawers mean we can sort and separate items without fear of losing them (or the cats running off with them).3. The surface of this puzzle board is textured so you can tip the board without slipping. This is a huge bonus when moving the board (which I often do) from room to room.4. This is great for a lot more than just jigsaw puzzles! So far I've used it for complex LEGO builds and long board games. We can play at the table and then move the board when it's time to eat (keeping family happiness).5. It has a raised rim on both sides so parts are less likely to slip off. Thanks to the edgeless sides, you can simply slide the pieces back into the box. ONLY COMPLAINT - Drawers can be difficult to open. The "slits" you can put your fingers in are small, which sometimes makes them difficult to open. We try to avoid this by letting the edges of the boxes protrude a little.
