Review on 🧡 SA107 Brother Walking Foot for Quilting and Sewing Multiple Layers - White by Gelin Battle

Revainrating 4 out of 5

It works as expected.

After reading reviews of fake ($15) I decided to buy a genuine Brother sewing foot. However, when he arrived he had no brother and looked almost like everyone else. The state of the fake in the reviews (broken in two weeks, the feeling of cheapness, leaked oil, etc.). So I spent $50 on what appeared to be a genuine item. I can't say yet whether it was worth it. This unit is a type of walking leg. It doesn't pull on the fabric, it relies (like all the others I suspect) on pulling the fabric forward through the lower legs. What it does is advance the top tabs forward the appropriate stitch length and then raise the presser foot and push the hinged tabs down so that the fabric is only held by the hinged top tabs (which slip very easily). . So it definitely helps pull the fabric through the machine. If the device were to pull the fabric forward, it would only work one stitch length. Because it works, it works for any stitch length, so I'm guessing that's why it's designed that way. It has a wide opening so you can choose left-centre-right or a bit of a zigzag. It seems a bit cheap at $50. But it didn't break, so I have nothing to complain about. It handles thicker builds well.
