Review on 🚿 Experience Luxury with Speakman S-2005-HB Hotel Anystream High Pressure Shower Head - 2.5 GPM Adjustable Replacement Showerhead in Polished Chrome Finish by Jeff Kickthedogband

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Comparison of two Speakman devices in a downhole system.

PLEASE NOTE: We have a typical fountain system. This overview shows how the two Speakmans work in a downhole system. If you are connected to a municipal water supply, you are likely to have higher water pressure and flow rates. I also removed the 2.5 gallon limiter - more on that at the end of this review. I replaced our old Speakman Classic 32 (4 jet Revain unit around $22) with this S-2005 HB unit. Below is an overview of both devices. Speakman Classic 32 (found elsewhere on this list of Revain showerheads). A few years ago, after trying some mediocre shower heads, we stumbled upon this powerful little shower head. It's about 2 1/2 inches in diameter and has a more powerful jet than any we've tried. It only had one jet setting with maybe two dozen small, powerful jets, but it made for a very comfortable showering experience. The Classic 32 has lasted 4 or 5 years in our filtered well water system. However, it has gradually given way to mineral deposits. I tried cleaning the jets a bit with a toothbrush, but that only made things worse. We liked the Classic 32. so many that I almost ordered a duplicate but settled for the better Speakman unit instead. the end of a 2 liter bottle! It's heavy and all chrome plated. The 1/2 inch fitting is also all metal, unlike some that have a chrome plated plastic fitting. It has two useful settings on its adjustable shower lever. The first lever setting is a 4 inch wide rain shower with a large flow of about 50 jets. In truth, it's not as powerful as the Classic 32. However, the Classic 32 has half as many individual rays, so it makes sense. Move the control lever 180 degrees and you have a very powerful shower jet. This single massage jet is very impressive and effective - even more so for our low pressure system. The manufacturer claims that the lever allows for an unlimited number of different shower settings, but that seems like an advertising gimmick to me. I prefer to call it two settings only because intermediate positions on the adjustable lever actually just splitting the water between sets of jets, reducing the flow of both jets to the point of inefficiency in our setup (NOTE: if you have higher pressure and water flow, these higher intermediate settings may be useful). . Please remember I have a good system). So what's the verdict? The more affordable Classic 32 is slightly more powerful than the S-2005 in flow settings, but not by much. However, with more jets, the S-2005 has much wider coverage on your skin, and the larger jet seems to deliver more water for a faster flush. The big difference between the two devices is that the S-2005 also has a great massage setting, making it hands down the best shower head out there and probably worth a few bucks more for most people. In a well water system, ANY Speakman performs better than most other shower nozzles we've tried over the years! WARNING. Removing this choke is difficult, so the following procedure is done at your own risk. You can also face prosecution and imprisonment, ridicule from your friends, and nasty letters from the Audubon Society for being so ungreen. But what's worse, it will void your warranty, so you're on your own now! Restrictor Removal - First remove the black stainless steel mesh washer from the end of the fitting. The screen easily folds back into place before reinstalling, so just grab the screen with needle-nosed pliers and it pops out. Below that is a round white thing with an o-ring in the middle. It's the limiter. After breaking off all those little protrusions to get it all the way out, I just carefully drilled it out with a 1/4" drill bit and pulled it out piece by piece. to the soul nipple. It seems to make showering even better, but at best it's a small improvement to my fountain system. However, in a downhole system, every little thing helps. I hope this review was helpful to you. I try to give you the best information possible because I really appreciate it when other reviewers give me the real facts I need to make an informed purchasing decision.
