I was very pleased to order this cold brewer for review as I recently received another large one, also glass, and unfortunately it came with a broken carafe. I was so hoping that I could make a large batch of cold coffee. I love my little 365 Cold Brew bottle but it only lasts a few days. So while I'm sure it'll make a great cold drink and I like its volume, why did I remove the bottle? Star? First, it's the form. The pitcher protrudes at the bottom making it much more difficult to store in the fridge and takes up extra space with this shape. Another large pitcher that broke had straight sides, a much better design. Another reason is that the instructions were a bit unclear. This required 70-80 grams of coffee. I went at 80 and it was right at the top. I think the instructions saying 75 grams would make more sense and leave a little room for error. Second, the pitcher had a high mark. I assumed it was for water so I set the water just below that mark. But while everything seemed fine at first when I put the filter in place, when I put the lid on, the rim of the lid pressing against the water caused the water to overflow. Luckily there wasn't much of it, just a very small puddle on the counter which I easily cleaned up. However, since I didn't even go to the mark, it should be clear that what matters is the final amount in the pitcher, not the amount of water you add to even make the drink. Either that or the brand is just wrong and should have been lower on the pitcher to begin with. Now of course I know and next time I'll add even less water. Despite these two very minor flaws, I know I'll enjoy this nice sized jug of cold drink to start the work week. Summer is the time when you want to get acquainted with cold coffee if you don't already know it. It's so soft and tasty, no acidity, for those with acidity issues. Some ice cream, a cold drink, cold milk and a sweetener - that's my idea of how to start the morning!
