A bit flexible, but plastic with all the resulting restrictions. The sizing is quite generous. I usually wear 11.5 but it's sold out. I think only short people need half sizes, taller people only need full size feet. At least that's how many manufacturers seem to think these days. I can wear them a little longer with socks, but they are definitely not suitable for the whole day. However, they do what I wanted, just put them on to walk my companion dog.
