I accidentally bought some E14 LED bulbs but found them a bit big for my (recognised) E12 based bulbs. These things work perfectly. Most people who buy lightbulbs abroad find that the lightbulb uses E14 type bulbs, while here in the US they are E12 type bulbs. I had the opposite problem. So if you have E14 lightbulbs, this adapter will convert them back to E12 for use in the US. Note. If you have an E14 base then get an E14-E12 adaptor, if you have E14 bulbs get an E12-E14 adaptor.
