I have found this type of reversible glove to be the best choice for me. I live in the west of the mountains where the temperature can drop well below zero. I've tried them and they're great until they get wet. Once they get wet, it's pretty much game over. Cold fingers and hands. Because they are made of 100% synthetic. They would be MUCH better if they contained, say, 30% wool or something. My other criticism is that when wearing gloves like this, I like the ability to flip the finger cover up and down at will, which you can do with these gloves, but it's not easy to secure the flip cover. The design is such that you need to insert a small handle into the hinge to lock the flip cover in the open position. And it's VERY difficult to do it with one hand. The same applies to its release. Why didn't they just use Velcro or some other mechanism that opens and closes easily? As I often wear these gloves for cross-country skiing, I find it difficult to put the flip covers on without taking my hands off the loops on the poles. Due to the issues listed above, I only wear them when my Transformable Wool Mittens aren't available. Don't get me wrong these are pretty good gloves but I think they have a few issues.
