The Perfect Pedal?: Pedals

I chose them mainly for their size. I wanted a platform that was a little taller than the Chester but not as tall as some of the biggest pedals out there - I thought it would fit my 10.5 foot height nicely. I don't know what more to ask from a set of pedals. They're on the higher end of the price spectrum, but there are certainly much more expensive options out there. The pins are exactly what I was looking for. With the Five Ten shoes the grip is incredible and it was very difficult to adjust my feet at first but I'm getting used to having to lift my foot a little to adjust the position. The pins aren't as bone sharp as some of the other pedals I've ridden, and it's nice that they don't always bleed after the slightest contact with your shin or calf. Aesthetically they are great. Nice. Work. Quality construction and the feel of the premium components they are. The slim design minimizes hitting the rocks directly below, but the wider overall width than most means pedal hits are to be reckoned with. I've taken a few good ones on hard rock and so far there is no visible damage to the pedal. Derived from some racing Chesters, this is a whole new level of grip and pride in ownership. Obviously they should be twice the price. I am delighted with these pedals and can't wait to buy more oneup components in the future.
