Exactly What I Needed: Parts & Components

I've been a fan of another brand for a long time, but lately I can't "pin" my feet on the pedals (I ride one a little more aggressively). Every time I hit a chunky or rocky area, my feet would bounce and the back of my calf would take a penalty. After doing a little research and reading about the comfort and stickiness of these pedals, I decided to give them a try. Wow! I returned home after a vigorous, brisk ride with no further pedal bites. They felt great and I never bounced off them. I am…

convex not for me

I don't have much experience with flat pedals but I couldn't jump and fall with confidence after the first day of losing my legs to these pedals. I've used every method that has worked for me with other flat pedals and wore about 5-10 sticky soles, but bought a couple of concave pedals after that experience. On the plus side, they are beautiful and very thin. . I've lost a few studs that are expensive to replace. They are not regulated. You have to screw them all the way in. I used to have…

Very good pedals for pedals and cleats

After years of only riding clipless pedals, I decided to go pro (jokingly) and get some flats (combination of five to ten boots). There are some good flat pedal options out there, and I've heard from a few riders I work with at my local MTB park. Obviously, I chose One Ups not only because they were recommended (along with another reputable brand sponsored by Danny MacAskill) but also because I also liked the sleek design and red pedals that came with them my cool looks (do people still say…

Excellent pedals, very grippy

These pedals are incredibly grippy and have a wide but thin platform. This makes them ideal as they allow for less than ideal foot placement without slipping or slipping. They boost confidence in corners and on rough terrain with impressive grip, and also feature a very open design that sheds mud and debris effectively. The pedals came with a few extra pins and are labeled left and right for easier installation. Overall I'm very happy with these pedals and while nylon/composite pedals may be…

The Perfect Pedal?: Pedals

I chose them mainly for their size. I wanted a platform that was a little taller than the Chester but not as tall as some of the biggest pedals out there - I thought it would fit my 10.5 foot height nicely. I don't know what more to ask from a set of pedals. They're on the higher end of the price spectrum, but there are certainly much more expensive options out there. The pins are exactly what I was looking for. With the Five Ten shoes the grip is incredible and it was very difficult to adjust…
