These pedals are incredibly grippy and have a wide but thin platform. This makes them ideal as they allow for less than ideal foot placement without slipping or slipping. They boost confidence in corners and on rough terrain with impressive grip, and also feature a very open design that sheds mud and debris effectively. The pedals came with a few extra pins and are labeled left and right for easier installation. Overall I'm very happy with these pedals and while nylon/composite pedals may be more valuable I think it's a worthwhile upgrade for serious riders. They can be easily transferred from bike to bike for instant pedaling efficiency, control and confidence.
