Review on FROMOM Premium Hypoallergenic Baby Soothing Calm Gel - Gentle Care for Delicate Sensitive Skin, 4.05 fl.oz. by Jessica Wood

But I really liked it.

The first FROMOM product I tried was their mother-to-be body cream, which I really liked. This soothing gel for kids has the same signature scent that they seem to use in all of their products, except it has a lighter scent, which I'm happy about. In fact it is a moisturizer, but the consistency of the gel. It's easy to apply and after being rubbed all over the skin it seems to dry fairly quickly without leaving any stickiness. I wanted to like it, but two things bothered me: I'm not comfortable using it on my adult skin, so I'm not sure I'd want to use it on a child. I wish they didn't use silicone as I really like this product. 2) Colostrum is used in this product. Colostrum is not a problem but I hope they don't take it from calves that need colostrum. I could cry just thinking about it because as a mother I can't imagine my baby not getting those precious nutrients in the first few days after birth. According to this site, they found that cows produce 10 times the amount of colostrum they need and most of it is thrown away/wasted, and that's where they come in and use the "leftovers". Hopefully. I really like this brand, but I'm torn between wanting to support this brand and supporting broodstock exploitation and depriving cow calves of vital nutrients. I'll be doing more research on this. Overall I like this product but I probably won't buy it again because of the silicone. I know it's considered "safe," but I personally don't want to use silicone in skin (or baby) products.
