I'm quite an avid mountain biker. I'm good with bikes and tools. I should have read more one star reviews. But with so many good ones, I went for it. I bought a 'used' bike for a lot less than a new one. All parts were there. It was very easy to assemble it. People who say "One of the pedals didn't turn on" don't understand that a pedal is screwed backwards to keep it from falling off. But I don't have to defend this bike. It is not worth. My 6 year old daughter is very efficient on a balance bike. I thought we could switch to a pedal bike without training wheels. Well, not with this boat anchor. Not only is it very heavy, but the crank/chain tension has 3-4 inches of play. So she can't pedal well at all. So we tried training wheels. The lack of chain tension also makes pedaling difficult for them. Even my 8 year old nephew sat on it and said "What's wrong with this bike?! I can't even pedal!" Don't be lazy, go to Walmart, bike shops, Ray and see what you buy. Don't set your child up for failure. The only good thing is that when I buy a small fishing boat doesn't need to buy an anchor for it.This bike will be a great anchor for years to come.
