First, make sure your kid likes strappy sandals.
I can only say what my 2.5 year old likes/dislikes: he doesn't like the feel of the strap between his toes and somehow the overall shoe is too small and the stretched part doesn't show up on his leg is cramped for his long leg; although there is enough room on the insole where his foot would be.
