This works fine on my HP P1102w printer. There is a non-HP toner warning, but you can ignore it. The only problem was that when I pulled on the orange tab on the plastic strip prior to initial installation, the tab broke. I had to hold the tip of the plastic strip and pull it off. I don't know if this was the cause of the problem for a few other reviewers. If the cartridge is inserted without the strip fully pulled out, I believe this will cause a major problem. Perhaps the seller would have at least included a small printed manual and explicitly stated that the plastic strip had to be completely removed. I only checked one cartridge because after removing the plastic strip I don't know if it was possible to store it again. I hope the second will be as good as the first. All in all a great product.
