Great case, great features but bulky

I just received this case so won't comment on its performance. I bought a blue and black 13 inch slim case for my new 2018 MacBook Air A1932. The color corresponds to the description: black with a slight bluish cast. Ideal for work, not flashy. The size is right, the computer fits right in. I used their size chart to choose the product to order. The materials and workmanship appear to be of good quality. Zipper extensions make opening and closing the case easier. The corner and edge padding is the thickest I've seen in any case, but since I haven't tested it I can't comment on its performance. - External case can hold keys and charger. The fit is snug but not too tight. They seem to have left enough space for all the accessories. What surprised me was the overall thickness of this case. This is the THICKEST case I've ever bought. And this is her skinny model. I'm still not sure how I feel about this since my computer is very thin. I like the protection factor as it doesn't fit in any laptop compartment of any bag. It's in either a briefcase or an unlined lady's tote, jostling with all the other supplies (water bottle, spare shoes, cosmetics, wallet, keys, protein bars, etc.). The case is extremely light, so at least it doesn't take away from the MacBook Air's advantage. I've been seriously considering a nice leather case (read: Picaso Lab), but the price of the leather case made me a little concerned, worried about how it would hold up in my stuffed tote, and (as the reviewer said for that Apple Leather sleeve stuck) Where would I keep all your keys? I have a desktop computer and my MacBook Air's primary purpose is for work-related travel. The likelihood of good padding protection and the ability to pack computer accessories in the same case (instead of hopping around in the aforementioned bag or briefcase) are the deciding factors for a case. Four stars only because I don't know how it would work and because the case thickness wasn't clearly stated in the pre-purchase product information.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Not as thick as other models
