Review on Kaper Teardrop Clearance Marker Complete by Luis Blaschko

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Motorhome Fit 2016 Thor Vegas 25.2

Our motorhome had a water leak in the front of the cabin. The original marker lights looked tired and the factory sealing was inferior. The heat gun made it easier to remove the original seal. The electrical wiring of the motorhome was two-wire. I was happy with the Kaper headlights as they fit into the ridge in the fiberglass front cover. The hole for the rear screw matched the existing hole in the front cover, but I had to drill a new hole for the front screw. The original teardrop headlights had a black base, but personally I wanted white as I wanted to use a white overlap self-leveling sealer. I did this repair at about 60 degrees Fahrenheit and the self-leveling sealant was of sufficient shape to match the marker light's profile. Also, I have a large stock of Type 67 incandescent bulbs, so I didn't want to switch to LED. I've also found that many LED lights make false promises in terms of brightness and durability, and I get years of incandescent performance. Additionally, incandescent bulbs can be replaced simply by removing the lens, while LED bulbs often require the entire assembly to be removed and replaced. When lit these Kaper lights look great and for the money you can't beat them.
