I have 3 dogs: 2 greyhounds and 1 english foxhound mix and they love coming into my small room and a huge amount of dirt everywhere and leave hair. 2 of these dogs sleep with me and hang out with me all the time when I'm in my room. My bed is full of hair. I first bought this air purifier because I find LOTS of hair and dirt all over my room. I thought this would help, but I didn't see any change. My floor tiles are white, that's even clearer. I have to sweep/vacuum almost every day. However, it does wonders for the smell. My sister sleeps with another dog and her room looks like a wet dog. I tested it in her room the other day. The smell was gone within 2 hours. Also, I do my own gel nails at home, and I turned on the air purifier and the chemical smell of the gel polish went away immediately. For me, that was the reason I loved the air purifier. I paint my nails every 2 weeks and the smell stays all day and makes me dizzy because there is no proper air circulation but that's gone. No dizziness at all. I like it! As for dust and hair, I'll find out in a few days/weeks. Although the activated carbon filter has become dusty after 1 day, I find that it works. As for durability I have no idea BUT the air purifier comes with an extra year warranty if you register your item within 14 weeks. So if you're thinking about buying an extra warranty I wouldn't recommend it as you already get 2 years plus an extra year when you sign up. The noise level is tolerable. I mean I would understand if it's too loud for other people if they are very sensitive to noise, but it's the same or even quieter than a small fan. I personally love white noise and the extra breeze it gives off.
