I've used magnetic vent clips for the last few years but I've had to move away from metal plates to ensure wireless charging won't be interrupted. iPhone X: In general, my biggest complaint about the vent mounts is that the clips aren't tight enough, causing the mount to slip or slightly loosen under the weight of the phone. These vent clips are stronger and more secure than most 4-pin magnetic clips or previous Scosche mounts that used spring-loaded hook clips. I'll just be careful when repositioning to make sure the clips don't pull out the vents like other reviewers do. Wireless charging also works great, no complaints.
