Worked great for a little over a year, but then.

The SCOSCHE VP2Q2M-SP1 FreeFlow 10W Car Mount with Wireless Vent Charging worked great for just over a year. Now it seems that the phone is overheating or overheating and as a result charging is unstable. I see my phone saying "charging" to "not charging", "charging" again, "not charging" again and so on. This is when the heating is off and the day is not hot.

Pros
  • Wide range
Cons
  • Reliability

Never bought a second time

I was initially thrilled to receive this mount after having had it for less than 6 months, here are the reasons I didn't buy it again: -c from quite on At first the arm did not stand still, when moving it swayed back and forth when turning - the mount was very noisy when turning - in the end the mount stuck to the dashboard, and the arm literally melted and broke in the heat. The charger worked well and the suction worked well on my dash and windshield.

It does not load. It's junk

I bought this expecting to see the high speed charging that Qi should offer with my charger mod on my Moto Z, 10-15 watts. WOW, my USB C charges in just 3, I can actually charge my phone fast. Well, it charges at less than 1W. When I start GPS with the screen off, the phone drains, it's so slow. The tech support guy even explained that "there are a lot of articles saying wired charging is faster than wireless." I am returning this junk product and I advise you to just invest in a USB cable to…

Doesn't charge with case!

This charger does not work with my phone case. It's very uncomfortable. This renders the device practically unusable. If I want to charge in the car, I have to remove the case first. I have other wireless chargers and they work great with the Otterbox protection. Not this article. I opened the box and used it so I can't return it - a waste of money as I need to find another wireless charger that works with my case. You can't trust reviews or information online, so finding one that works will be

Pretty good but the old design was better

I'm a big Scosche fan and have used them in previous cars. When I upgraded to the iPhone 10 I was hoping to use wireless charging. I removed my old Scosche magic magnet mount and replaced it with this one. My old mount was rock hard. It's not like this. It works but I'm afraid the phone will fall out and I've knocked the phone out of the stand several times. I drive an FJ Cruiser and installed the USB port to the left of the steering wheel. With my setup you run the risk of turning off the…

Safest vent clips I've used

I've used magnetic vent clips for the last few years but I've had to move away from metal plates to ensure wireless charging won't be interrupted. iPhone X: In general, my biggest complaint about the vent mounts is that the clips aren't tight enough, causing the mount to slip or slightly loosen under the weight of the phone. These vent clips are stronger and more secure than most 4-pin magnetic clips or previous Scosche mounts that used spring-loaded hook clips. I'll just be careful when…

Works with durable Galaxy S9 and Spigen armor.

With all the variety of phones it's difficult to find one size for all products. The SCOSCHE WDQM STUCKUP Qi does what I need, but the Galaxy S9 has the fingerprint reader on the back of the phone. At full height adjustment, I reach the sensor, but the battery does not charge. The height adjuster has to be all the way down to charge, but I'm forced to enter my backup passcode to unlock the device, which isn't ideal while driving. I know there are other ways to unlock the phone, retina, and face

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Can't remember

This is for the Qi suction cup version. People complain that the mount can't keep up with the GPS and the bright screen. Well, it's Qi that can't supply more than 800mA, and while Google Maps typically runs at that power limit, Waze is a huge power hog that just one plug connection can handle. The fortification is very strong; The suction cup is TOO difficult, if anything, to remove from the windshield, but I think it works great on a clean dashboard! (Haven't tried it yet.) If some shit gets…
