I bought a hand fan (different brand) two years ago which, although it still works well, did not harm my 5-year-old granddaughter" checked", and some plastic parts broke. I bought my Smartelf fan (albeit a bit more expensive) because it looked more stable. I'm so impressed! Not only is it much more stable than my other fan, it is also very well made. The fan size is a bit smaller than my other fan, but it produces enough air at 3 different settings. The battery charge lasts for a LONG time, which is in the comfort of your own home in hot weather, when you need to breathe air in a dream. My other fan doesn't last all night without charging, but the smart fan does! I like that it is compact to carry in a purse or backpack. You can lay it on its side, on a flat surface, or use the included stand. I am very glad that I left my comfort zone with this purchase. It's only a few euros more than cheap fans - it's worth it!
