Review on Superior Waterproof Batteries for Electric Vehicles by Raul Choudhury

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I didn't expect 5 stars

There must be something wrong, right? There is something to complain about. Some. anything. BUY I bought the Hailstorm about a year ago and loved it until the ESC stopped working so it was interesting to see how 18859, the latest version of the monster truck, came out. I didn't know all the differences until I received the package and was pleasantly surprised by all the upgrades from the previous version. WHAT'S NEW When I opened the box I found 1 transmitter battery. To my surprise, the car itself had a different battery! Two batteries included. Not only that, I almost overlooked that Haiboxing now includes a LiPo battery! As a rule, inexpensive cars are equipped with lithium-ion batteries. Usually mods just replace it with a new Li-Po, so having HBX included in the Li-Po from the start is pretty cool! CVD is metal! Yes, the latest version was plastic and metal was part of the upgrade. Now they are included for FREE! The camber has 3 adjustment holes for those who like to fiddle with things like this. The suspension is not yet filled with oil, but the preload can now be adjusted. The upper arms at each corner are now reinforced. Pretty significant difference. Overall, the rig is also wider. The body itself is also longer than the previous version. Most might not have noticed, but the front gear trays are a strip of metal that provides additional structural support. It's about the details. All these improvements make the car more durable and productive. In fact, I've driven it a few times for fun with my much heavier 1/10 scale Arrma Big Rock monster truck and the 18859 did a great job. He continued to be involved in freight transportation (pun intended). Impressed that HBX has come this far with their latest 1/18th scale version of the car without raising the price. Thank you RUNNING FEATURES First of all, it's quiet! The way is calm. Maybe the last one was that quiet, but compared to some other cars I own, this whisper is quiet. The turning radius is small. Surprisingly tight. So tight, in fact, you could tear the donut out. You don't have to spin it hard, spin it in one direction to gain momentum, and then spin it hard in the opposite direction to launch the donut like you normally would. There isn't enough torque to do a wheelie, but that's not expected from a budget RC 2S car, especially one of this size. However, there is enough power to get good speed. PACKAGING Nicely packaged as always. Not sure who is responsible for this, but my Revain box was damaged and the outside of the HBX box inside was also damaged. The contents are intact so nothing to complain about but something I experienced in my personal purchase of the 18859. DECAL This deserves a category of its own because HBX actually supplied two sets of headlights and two sets of taillights! Choose your favourite! I ended up using the unused set on another car which made it look even better so thanks again to HBX. Overall very happy with it. Cheap cars don't have to be that good. I wasn't even ready to say all that. I expected it to be a little better than mediocre given the HBX's reputation is pretty good, but there are plenty of improvements in this iteration of 18859 to make it almost a new car. Do you remember how far the Toyota Camry has come since then? It is, but HBX style. FOR WHOM IS THAT? I have no doubts about its durability, especially with the wider stance, thicker chassis, and thicker arms. A real RC hobby car at a reasonable price. If you love modifying cars, you've had that opportunity since 18859. Upgrade your shock absorbers to oil-filled ones. Install multiple adjustable twist buckles. Great for kids as it has a slow mode feature. Adjust between slow and normal for the development of beginner riders. I think this is the perfect car if you are a parent looking to buy a car for you and your child but only want to use one car to share. The best from both worlds.

Pros
  • Fully featured radio system: This off-road truck uses an upgraded version of the powerful 380 brushed motor that delivers a top speed of up to 36 km/h. 2.4GHz full-function proportional radio control mirrors 280ft control range, forward/brake/reverse, no signal output when the fast RC car is racing with your friends. In addition, the normal/low speed switch is designed for beginners and children.
