I'm in a small one bedroom apartment that has an incredible amount of space between the bottom of the interior doors and the floor (no carpet). I work from home in the living room, I use headphones but I still hear noises from the bedroom. My husband has severe allergies and blows his nose so hard it sounds like a megaphone (sorry, that's not an exaggeration). We tried stuffing thick bath towels in the space between the door and the floor and that worked *a little* but was problematic when the door was opened (they had to be moved around and didn't always come back efficiently). I have reviewed many connectors of this type and settled on this MAXTID because of the reasonable cost and generally positive reviews. It was insanely easy to measure, cut and install. Now it blocks almost all noise from the bedroom and I'm very happy with it. I don't see that as a disadvantage, but it should be noted that the sliding noise of the material on a hard floor is not very quiet. It makes a noise, but it doesn't bother me. I am happy with this purchase and will likely buy more of these in the future. The only thing I haven't tested is how durable the case's material is 1) after washing and 2) with repeated rubbing on the floor. If it doesn't even last 6-12 months of use I'll definitely update this review.
