According to the description of this item it is waterproof. I figured the hole for your iPod would be in your hand, protecting it from the rain. There is only one big hole at the top to put an iPod in. Also, he says it matches the Classic, which is what I ordered it for. The headphone hole is at the bottom and the jack is at the top of the iPod. It is not designed for Classic and you can find a bandage better suited for Classic. Use it in any wet weather.
- Compatible with all generations of iPod classic and iPod touch 1st to 4th generation. Not compatible with iPod touch 5G (5th generation)
