We bought this gate mid October along with a 24 inch extension. We use it to separate our family room from the dining room and kitchen, and the corners of the sections allow us to position part of it so our DD can watch us work in the kitchen and tilt the other half , so we can see the corner from the restricted area. The auto-close and hold-open features, as well as the hinge/latch mounts (for non-straight mounting points) are also great. Cons: The material they used (if they used more than powder coating) to prevent the gate hinge from sticking. Worn out after about a month of use. The manufacturer seems to have expected users to always open the gate by pulling the latch with one hand and lifting the gate with the other hand closest to the hinge. However, we parents know we don't. You don't always have two hands free. Our gate can still be opened with one hand, but often the whole fence is lifted up and I'm afraid that the movement will transfer to the fastening material and the holes in the walls will get bigger.
