My kids are now in their 30s, so it's been a while since I installed one of these. I recently purchased two to keep my small dogs out of guest bedrooms. Installation was easy and logical. The gate is sturdy and operates as it should. Because my gates are for small dogs and not children, I elected not to use the installation option using screws. I opted to install just using pressure. Even at that, I feel the gate is very secure. I like the gate so much that I have just ordered a third.

We placed this at the top of our stairs. We have molding and wood work that I was afraid would prevent installation but the mounts are very flexible in where you place them. Sturdy and well built, highly recommended!

I was hoping to just use force/friction to hold the gate in place, but I gave in and used the screw-based mounts after the gate started sliding and shifting after less than a day. So long as you are willing to have a few small holes in your wall, though, the gate works great.

This is a great product ,easy to put up and kept my hyper puppy and older dog from getting out , It was easy to open and keep open when we wanted it to stay open and the lock kept it shut ,My puppy is now safe when we open the door

Well-made and solved the problem beautifully. Shuts itself just as it says, or holds itself open if you open the door all the way.

This thing was simple to install and the locking mechanism is simple and works great. Clicks into place by itself every time and keeps the dogs where they belong. Being used for a standard and medium doodle. So would be more then enough for several toddlers, even if they decided to storm the gates.

We needed a gate at the bottom of an open staircase. The newel posts provide the sides, but were larger on the bottom (causing a narrower opening), so the gate needed to be smaller on the bottom than the top. This one was easy to install and provided good closure across the opening. The gate was easy to operate even when holding a squirming toddler.

These gates are great! If I could change one thing I would remove the bar across the bottom. I keep tripping over it. I bought a brown gate and it blends with the floor. Be very careful

We needed something sturdy and easy to use for when we have wet and/or muddy dogs in our mudroom. This does the trick AND looks great- in fact it's nice enough to leave up permanently. Also it's extremely easy to open and close. After doing it a few times I don't even think about it. Very happy!

Almost perfect gate. I love that it opens both ways, closes behind you or stays open if you want it to. Dislike the "wall protection" on the screw ends. It doesn't hold well and ruins the paint on your walls. I ordered separate wall protectors that fixed that issue.Reviews that complain about it not latching properly do not have it level and spaced evenly, meaning you can't just tighten one side and not the others, evenly and level. That's important. Overall great product

I have a big dog we needed to keep out from our other dogs food this is perfect for it. It's pretty easy to install and fit in our hallway great.
