I have a child who has better shoes than me (thanks sneaker uncle). So he wants/needs socks that won't be taken from his childhood struggles. I'm pretty sure he should just put them on the shelf, but I keep telling his uncle if my kid gets anything, I won't put it on the shelf and I won't use it. However, I admit that it should be about shoes, not socks. So these socks are perfect. They hide and you can't take that away from the shoes themselves. Another thing is the quantity. My baby changes clothes after every walk. We go out in the morning, come home, and he takes off his shirt and socks. Then when we go out after dinner, it's a brand new shirt and socks. Come home for a nap and an early evening stroll is another outfit. So on a busy day, he uses up three pairs of socks a day! I calculate that in my head when washing (MF: 5-10 pairs, M/S: 4-6 pairs = 9 to 16 pairs of socks per week). .So bulky all-in-one socks are perfect for us.
