Ok so these bags are worth every ounce of hype they get. I am moving from FL to NY and we are selling just about everything we own except for some clothes and pet stuff. Unfortunately "some clothes" for turned into a giant rolling storage bin filled to every possible inch AND towering 7" over it, with clothes falling over. Boyfriend was like. nah gon happen. I was able to get that entire mountain monstrosity down to THREE and half of these jumbo bags. I even slipped three handbags into one of them. See pic for end result. The pump is comes with is essentially useless unless you absolutely have no vacuum at all and have popeye arms and cans of spinach around to keep you able to pump the sh*t out of the bags. Even then you will never achieve the true suction a vacuum can provide. You really need an actual vacuum. The ziploc closure is very secure, although the little tab that you can use to "zip" it closed is not really a zip, its just a tool to slide across to help faciliate the sealing. I found the little tab to be annoying and it twists and goes on an angle and even slides clean off the other end of the bag if youre not careful. It kind of does nothing too helpful, and your own god given fingers can easily slide across the closure and feel for security of the seal. The actual screw up closure thing on the vacuum part needs to be screwed back on quickly and TIGHTLY as all hell. I used a towel to be able to grip the top tight enough to really crank it closed tight. The notches in the top hurt my fingers too much otherwise. These bags are really big, and the temptation is there to put a lot in it. You can, but do not overfill the bag. There is a "stop" line printed on the bag. If you are past that, you have overfilled it. If you're bag resembles a giant hill or mountain, you've overfilled it. Don't pack it with high stacks of clothes as it will defeat the purpose of the bag being vacuumed to be as flat as possible, and causes the seal to leak air. I got excited and overfilled the first bag this way and I noticed big differences between that one and the other ones that I did the right way. The last bag I did was the best, by then I was a pro.I bought two sets of these things, so I still have 8 BAGS left! I was really happy with how big they actually are. I will use the remaining bags for towels and sheets/blankets. I can't believe I waited so long in life to get these things. They definitely aren't cheap, and that is annoying, but when we compared it to the cost of shipping boxes of clothes, it was a no brainer.Definitely reccommend!
