I was a little apprehensive about ordering a non genuine ball seal kit but decided to take the risk as the brand name was almost three times the price. I replaced my original 16 year old ball seal and also replaced the floor seal gasket at the same time, both were worn out. Note which washer is thinner when removed, which should come first on the backing piece. Don't forget to use plumber's lube/sealant between the rubber grommets as well, as it provides leak protection between them. Before finally tightening the yoke, open the seat to see the ball. This will confirm that the gasket is properly centered. I'm definitely glad I fixed a leaking toilet!
