Review on πŸš€ Enhance Your Tesla Model 3 with QHO AUTO Stainless Steel Rear Door Sill Protector Plates - Set of 2 in Sleek Black Finish by Rod Evans

Revainrating 4 out of 5

OK, but you have to be careful.

I have mixed feelings about the stainless steel QHO inserts. On the one hand they protect against pain, but ironically on the other hand it is easy to damage the paintwork when they are mounted. Why? Because the rear door sills curve upwards towards the rear of the vehicle. The optimal placement of these trim strips is a little farther from the door sill (a little closer to the back of the car), but at this point you're trying to place a flat metal plate on a slightly curved sill and this results in the rear edge not lying flat and digs into the paint when clicked (tip: it never sticks that way). Funny that you can see that raised trailing edge on the product images. Due to the way the product is constructed the tape hardly (I mean hardly) cleans the metal so you must be careful to ONLY FULLY apply this product. the flat part of the window sill. I would also recommend putting extra double sided tape (you get it with the product) on the back to make sure the metal corners don't dig into the paint. So you're done. It's a decent product (we'll see how long it lasts - I wish there was a 3M clear protector for these rubbers) but I think the design could use a little tweaking and placement warnings should be included. 4 out of 5 stars. Worthy.
