So I have to admit I'm surprised these little boxes work! I have a musty, damp bedroom that I've tried everything to fix! No sources of leaks or cracks were found. Also, air fresheners simply added scents and did nothing to relieve heavy, stale air. After trying to solve the problem for 4 months, I decided to try these absorbers. I put two in a medium sized bedroom - one on each side. I didn't notice any difference for the first three days and the balls didn't seem to absorb anything. Then, around day 4, I noticed that the balls were sticking together a bit (although there was no water at the bottom of the container yet). However, the room didn't seem that humid. A few days later, the balls turned into one big lump - there was no water yet, but I noticed a big difference in smell and moisture! I can not believe that! I will always buy them as long as I live here. I assume the spheres will turn into water at some point, but that doesn't even really matter because it's already working. So if they don't seem to work for the first few days, leave them in place and wait a while. Brilliant!
