This simple little kit includes a small microphone and receiver that turns your iPhone into a powerful recording center. So far I've tried recording voiceovers, vocal performances, acoustic guitar and violin for my YouTube channel and it works much better than I expected for the price. The great thing is that you don't need to install a special app or use your phone's Bluetooth connection to get it working. Once connected, it works with any application that records sound. That includes Apple's GarageBand and iMovie apps, as well as the usual old camera app. This makes the setup much more functional. The lack of Bluetooth means you don't have to pair it with your phone. You just plug the small gimbal that comes with the kit into the bottom of the phone and you're done. I love the simplicity and elegance of this setup where other products have been so complex that they typically spend most of their lives in a desk drawer.
