Review on Control Rainbow Wireless Lighting Operated by Linda Porter

Revainrating 3 out of 5

The quality is not very good but ok

These lanterns are not the best quality but still very fun. Looks just like the picture - the pucks themselves come in 6 pretty pastel shades (more visible with the lights off). LEDs have many cool light settings with different effects that are fun to play with. The remote works to turn the lights on and off if you just want a solid color, but all the effects require you to click on each individual puck (for example, my favorite setting is #7, so I have to press each puck 7 times). ). It can be a little tiring, but it's not bad. You get 2 remotes with this set, but the range is short - you have to be pretty close to the pucks for it to work. Each puck runs on 3 AA batteries, but I've used many of these and they seem to have long battery life. The stickers you use to stick them on different surfaces are pretty mediocre. They work well when you just want to put them on a flat surface (like I did on my indoor skateboard ramp), but when you're trying to get them to stay on a vertical surface or on the underside of something, the pucks will probably do it too heavy. Instead there is no way to screw them to the surface. On a positive note they have been dropped a few times but never broken or unscrewed. Overall, they're not amazing quality, but they're fun and work decently for what I need them to be.

Pros
  • Timer function - You can set the timer (10, 30, 60 or 120 minutes) with the remote control in case you forget to turn off the light. In order to save battery power, the lamp in the housing switches off automatically after 4 hours of inactivity. Suitable as a night light in the children's room.
Cons
  • Expensive
