Review on Oral-B Pro 7000 SmartSeries Black 🦷 Electric Toothbrush with Bluetooth Connectivity: 8 Piece Set by Eathan Wilson

Sophisticated but functional

I've been using a cheap rotary brush for almost 10 years and have seen a significant improvement in my dental health during visits to the dentist, but lately I've gotten tired of the dwindling battery life and some missing Gaps between my teeth. I decided to take the plunge and buy Oral B at an inflated price. I don't fancy the Bluetooth functionality or any frills, but I compared the 5500, 7000 and Genius 8000 versions, all in black. The final decision was made based on price, available discounts, and availability of replacement heads and travel cases. So I opted for the 7000. Unboxing - the box is as unnecessarily complicated as the brush. I had to photograph all the boxes in the folded boxes covering over half of my queen bed. You could learn from IKEA that the overall size of the box could be halved if the package was much smaller. In any case, the brush is attractive, not too fatiguingly heavy, but NOT all black. All sides are silver plastic and all heads are white. The cord/charger is white and the cord is a bit stiff with lots of storage so I had to use cord clips and a tie to train/stash it along the mirror. The cord is a decent length but can't stray far from a vanity or sink. So plan it accordingly by installing an outlet in the bathroom. Doesn't attach securely to the charger, but the charging base is non-slip and sits well on the surface. It came with a large fold out user manual, larger than most of my other electronic devices. It comes with a booklet with coupons EXPIRED BY 31/07/2018 (I bought the product on 13/01/19). The travel case feels comfortable but you have to remove the heads to use it, there are slots for 2 heads. I assume there is a separate plastic/rubber case for the charger/cable? Too much hassle, the perfect travel suitcase fits everything in one place so you don't forget anything and have one thing to grab when you need to brush your teeth. There is a head mount with a volume lock that fits over the charger but I won't be using it. In addition, there is a smart controller that runs on 2 AAA batteries (included with Duracell AAA!). The design is poor for changing settings, syncing the device, etc., the buttons are hidden - you have to detach the device from the body of the mirror holder and remove the back panel of the device itself to access the buttons and batteries. It has a clock function on the left, a smiley face (and possibly a frown) on the left, and other places where SMALL icons appear depending on what you're doing with the brush itself. I started charging the brush around 8:30pm and it can take up to 24 hours to fully charge the first time. Took me over 20 hours. They want you to leave it on the charger at all times, saying it's "impossible to charge it" but recommend draining the device completely at least every 6 months. There is no reassuring click/clack/click when you place your phone on the charger - it just sits and can rock on the stand. The brush itself is only semi-rigid, sits upright on surfaces - it can wiggle a light touch/few degrees in any direction and stay upright, but for the price I'd be afraid to leave it upright where it could get hit. The manual clearly states that dropping it is FORBIDDEN. The brush works/moves well, but the handle vibrates a lot, more than others I've tested. Custom backlight colors, sensors, and features seem to work well, but I only use 1-2. There are 2 timer settings - a profession that breaks sections into 30 seconds or a regular 2 minute timer. The deep cleaning timer is 3 minutes. The pressure sensor function is operational and gives visual and visual warnings. One day when I get bored and spin my fingers I will check the setup and connection with my cell phone (Samsung Note 8) but I don't plan to use/keep the app for that long. I am satisfied with the brushing function and the feeling in my mouth afterwards, everything else is unnecessary. The price on Amazon was reduced to $110.24 (still too much), I used a $20 discount coupon, $18 gift card and $36 bonus to get less than $40 out of my pocket. So my assessment of long-term value and durability is based on both prices. If you actually read the manual, it has conflicting information about: b) It is not to be used in the bath/shower, submerged in water or the handle wet. Also, you must disassemble and wipe/clean the device after each use. Based on some photos from other users there seems to be some rusting/corrosion issues so it's not clear if it was just because they were present in the bathroom or if these units were cleaned regularly or if there were leaks in the closet, from Why don't they work. actually waterproof or even sustainable. It comes with 3 heads - cross brush, 3D white brush and delicate brush. After a few days of use, I've learned that there are things you can't do. You can't apply toothpaste and turn it on. The brush must be in your mouth, on your teeth, and behind your lips before you can turn it on, otherwise it will squirt toothpaste EVERYWHERE with amazing speed and arc. It's a hassle, because you have to fiddle around to brush-press the mode button hidden in the mirror against you if you want to change modes on the fly. I also can't put a normal amount of toothpaste on a small head, so I have to stop and halfway through brushing, apply to my bottom teeth again to continue. abbreviations. I would recommend this brush to others based on my past experience but only if you can get it at a significant discount and only if you are not stressed.
