I followed the sizing chart provided, and ignored amazon's 'based on other buyers who wear your size.' recommendation. The chart said I'm a medium, amazon said large. I think I could have gone either way (34" waist). I'm happy with the medium, but I like a close fit.The material. I wish sellers would stop calling things silky which are not. These are some kind of microfiber, but the feel is very much a soft cotton, like a nice t-shirt. There's nothing silky about the material, so I've taken off a star for that. All in all they are comfortable for every day wear. I wouldn't wear them to work out in though as I'd be concerned about chafing and moisture evacuating properties due to the material. Also, the woman in my life is very happy with my wearing them.All in all a solid buy.
