To be honest these are probably the best socks I've ever owned. I work as a security guard so I will be working on my legs up to 12 hours a day. Most socks get caked up or end up in holes and stink to high heaven. Normal socks can be washed 3 times and still take all the fabric softeners in the world. These socks are thick and perfectly warm as long as you can wear them 3 days in a row without smell. They started to crust on day 3, but it was me who tested the limits of these socks. I've been wearing them for a few months now and the biggest damage I've done is they're like pills (like those little fluffy balls on sweaters) in the Achilles area. They are fantastic and fit me perfectly, maybe the tightness around the calves (but I think it's my swelling). The ideal size for women is 7.5 US shoe size.
