So what I've learned about USB connectors and cables is that both can wear out and/or get dirty. USB ports in cars tend to be of lower quality than computer ports, but both can easily become problematic, and then quality cables can sometimes make things work better, but it can also be fixed. Try not to blame anything until you've cleaned them up and try different cables to see what works best. However, I have used this CableCreation cable in a problematic USB port on my laptop and it works great where other cables work, even if they worked, if you breathe on it you could lose connection or get distorted. The 90 degree bend protects the cable from less contact when I'm using the computer, which is also a plus. We'll see how long this lasts, but what an improvement over other cables I've tried. As a mechanical engineer, a 90 degree cable is a great idea to de-stress your cables and these cables seem to be of very high quality. Highly recommended!
