So a few caveats about these earbuds. I looked for strainers, thinking they would be easier than scooping, and they are. possibly true? In theory, all you have to do is lift the top filter cartridge, wait for all the clean debris to fall out, and discard it. Should be easy. In practice this is a bit more difficult. First, I have a litter box with a removable "screen" (raised sides) to prevent my cat from scattering her litter box all over the room. The earbuds were on, no problem, but the screen stopped sticking to the box when the earbuds were on. It usually doesn't touch the box itself, so for now you can just put it on top without fastening it, but that's something to keep in mind if you have a box with any type of lid. Second, really clean up the trash. Removed the elastic, tightened the top liner. and nothing happened. The packaging says "quick sifting" - definitely not something I've experienced. First problem: I had to shake the bag well before the filling came out and even then there was a lot of stuff in the bag. The second problem is that the holes in the pocket are big enough for small clumps of dirty junk to fall through, which I could remove from the bowl if I picked it up. The third problem: there is no drawstring, no drawstring, no other way to fasten the bag. I wasn't done with an extra garbage bag so I put a liner in to take my garbage bag with me and when I came back there was garbage on my floor, both clean and dirty. Yuck.Overall: I think these liners do more or less what they say they sift through cat litter. However, is it "easier" than scooping or "faster"? No not at all. I think if you agree with some of the less comfortable aspects of earbuds these could be a great solution, but they definitely aren't for me.
