Okay, but next time I would buy an OEM.

This price was reasonable so I decided to try these. The R side went in easily. The L side was extremely difficult. I had to turn to reach the ball. It seriously looks like it's 1/8 inch shorter. I made it Bottom line: Better than completely worn out. But the damping effect when opening the trunk is not so great. I have a feeling it should open more smoothly (it needs more damping resistance from the shock absorber). Next time I'll buy OEM for a few bucks more. By the way. You need to replace both sides, not just one as others have mentioned. The luggage rack accommodates the opening of the trunk. The spring dampens the closure The problem, apart from the shock absorber/strut (and not to blame), is that when the trunk is opened, just before it stops in the upper position, there is a slight metallic crunch, as if there were a rubber damper harder Attack. in a worn or slipped trunk strap. I have to test this. If your trunk has this noise, just know that replacing the spring is not going to fix the problem. If anyone knows what this is please leave me a comment. Thanks.
