Review on Nelson Rigg RG 1050 Black Trails Enduro by Chris Durandis

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Everything is OK. NOT waterproof, no case.

I bought this bag from Revain 3 months ago and it holds up well, the zipper is fine, the bristles remove dirt easily and hold enough items for a day in the backcountry. jThe only disappointment is that it is not waterproof. I thought I read what it was in the description but I was wrong. I was driving in a downpour for about 30 minutes the other day and everything in my bag got wet. I read about a bag with a suitcase somewhere on Revain and thought it was it. I noticed it came without a case, but looking at the lining materials for the zip it looked at the time like the zip wouldn't let water through anyway. Not right. Like others, I just seal the bag with wet items that fit in the bag. It's annoying but fixable. I have an old OGIO tail bag on another bike and it doubles as a pocket in the zip pocket on the outside of the bag and really keeps things dry. It cost more but was worth the extra 10 seats. OGIO is a soft bag that unfolds with a zipper. Riggs are stiffer and look a little better, but have less space and don't handle water well. Buy Ogio.
