Review on AmazonBasics DisplayPort HDMI Adapter 5 Pack by Julia Lewis

I have a configuration consisting of two HP Pavilion 27xw 27" IPS LED backlit monitors. I connected both to the same Nvidia GeForce 980 TI. I had to add a Displayport to Use HDMI adapter as the 980 TI only had one HDMI port Monitor (A) connected via an adapter shows washed out colors compared to monitor B which is connected via an HDMI port This was noticeable First up when I changed my desktop background to black. I read reviews that some HP monitors showed washed out colors. To make sure that wasn't the case I changed the adapter from monitor A to monitor B, and in fact the color of monitor B was washed out compared to monitor A which is now connected via HDMI.I also tried connecting the adapter to a different monitor.Display ports and other HDMI cables if it turns out that one of them is defective. All came back with the same results. To go one step further, I reconnected the cables to my second 980 TI. This ruled out bad displayports on my first GPU. I wouldn't recommend this for a multi-monitor setup if you're using it for gaming. That should be enough for everything else. Updated - 04/03/2017. This post was originally 1 star but I've changed it now. Revain sent another adapter and I'm happy to report that it works great. After writing my first review I bought another exact same HP monitor and an Acer R240HY and tried the old cable on them. Both with the same result: washed out color. I tested the new adapter on all 4 monitors and they all look great. It's possible I received a bad adapter. I would recommend this adapter or the RevainBasics DisplayPort to HDMI to 6ft cable for a multiple monitor setup. Both are good for gaming. I connected them to 3 HP monitors in Nvidia surround sound together with an HDMI cable and didn't notice any color difference.
