Review on Nikon D5100 Digital SLR Camera with 18-55mm VR Lens - High Resolution 16.2MP by Indal Kumar ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

An ideal product for any type of consumer.

Despite these shortcomings, I am very pleased with the camera. I cannot but say about the high quality of the pictures - even (!) when shooting with whale lenses. Sharpness, color reproduction - just amazing. If you have used only "soap dishes" before, then the difference will be very noticeable, and you will really begin to appreciate the quality of the photo. I would like to give advice to those who are going to buy (or have already bought) this camera: 1. If you use budget (kit) optics, then, if possible, buy an sb-700 or sb-900 flash (determine by money). The built-in flash will never give you the same smooth lighting, color reproduction and sharpness as the above flashes can. In addition, use the flash not only in low light, but in normal or even sunny conditions - this will give the photo even lighting. 2. Decide what and where you will shoot. Based on this, choose lenses. If you travel often, then universal zooms are better: 18-105 or 18-200. If you most often take pictures indoors or portraits, then it is better to look at fast fixes 35mm or 50mm. But sometimes it’s more convenient to buy an additional body 55-200 or 55-300 to the whale 18-55! Thus, covering the entire required distance to the object being photographed. 3. When buying a bag for a camera, keep in mind that over time, even amateurs buy more lenses and a flash. Therefore, think about how everything possible (or necessary) fits in the bag, and not just a camera and one lens. This will save money. Sample photos with this lens here: http://fotki. . Pros
  • Build quality, fits comfortably in the hand, picture quality on the screen, noise reduction, a good choice of budget optics
Cons
  • in general, they are insignificant. Marky screen, when shooting, it gets dirty from the face and nose. No GPS. Average video quality, the sound from the lenses is especially annoying when focusing.

It’s better not to save money and take the D7000 or D90, and if the brand of the camera is not important to you, and the budget is limited, take Canon (cheaper lenses, no problems with the presence / absence of an ultrasonic motor.
