Poetic Guardian Case for Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra 5G (purple)

At first, I was happy with this case for my phone. I like the color and I liked that the screen protector and case came altogether. All of the openings are exactly where they should be (charge port, stylus, volume buttons, camera lenses etc) for my Samsung S22 Ultra and I like the USB port cover. I also like the raised edges. However as I began to put it to daily use, some issues became noticeable.Right off the bat, the ugly circle for the fingerprint reader on the screen protector. I have no interest in using the finger print reader so I didn't attach the little stick on thing for it but even so, there's still a noticeable, ugly circular area on the screen protector that's there to stay. It's probably just as well that I didn't want to use the finger print reader. This brings me to the 2nd issue with this case. The screen protector has a plastic feel to it and it doesn't sit flat on the screen of the phone. There is a bit of space between it and the phone so when pressing down on it for taps /swipes, there is some "give" to it. It springs back up in- between taps. I really have to press down to get the phone to respond. Even then it doesn't respond as well when using my fingers. With this screen protector in place, my phone responds better using the S Pen as a stylus. The S22 Ultra has a setting you can change to help with this(Settings>Display>Scroll down to Touch Sensitivity) and for me, it helped a little but not much.Having said that, you don't *have* to use the screen protector that comes with this case. You can buy a separate screen protector and just use that paired with the part of the case that goes on the back which is a nice option to have and one I may go with soon.OR maybe not because even though usually I keep this phone either on my desk, in my purse or on a table top (the phone is too big for pockets) and I've only had it for 2 months, the case is showing signs of dirt that won't wipe off.How is it protective-wise? I don't know yet. I'm pretty careful but as we know drops can happen to anybody, any where, any time. If that happens while I'm still using this case, I'll try to remember to come back give an update.

Pros
  • Wireless
Cons
  • The bulky design may make it hard to fit the phone in smaller pockets or purses.
