Large water cup for on the go or in the studio

This is a great little water cup for my watercolor brushes. I've had a few other containers for field use, but I really like this one. Everything else I've seen is basically an open jar with a lid that I can carry to where I work. Unlike an open can the buds don't squirt water over the edge, in fact I now use this when working in the studio rather than a used mayonnaise can. I keep the water at the bottom of the conical holes so I can just dip my brush tips and touch the water surface. So far I haven't had any breakouts. I keep one side with clean water and the other for washing. If I wipe the paint off with a rag after a few quick dips, rather than fully dipping and rinsing my brushes on one side, I can work for an hour or more without changing the rinse water. The actual opening will allow a half inch of hazelnut or fan through, but not 3/4 inch, nor a squirrel wash. Holding the water level, I can dip a 3/4 inch wash bristle into the water to wet the paper, but the tip won't go through. However, this is not a violation of the terms of the contract. The lid snaps shut, but is not airtight. I put it in a ziplock bag before putting it in my day pack. The lid snaps into place but is unsealed. I put it in a ziplock bag before putting it in my day pack. Pros
  • Lid closes securely
Cons
  • Not bad, but...
