Based on the reviews I was expecting it to smell like wood, like wood. It definitely has a "Christmassy" smell to it, but it's not fresh/woody at all. Reminds me of a walk through the vacation department at Michael's. It's not a bad smell, it's just not what I wanted. It's a very old Christmas scent. I have some Christmas decorations that my grandmother inherited and they smell like this oil. I wanted something fresh and natural smelling and it's like a heavy perfume/cologne. On the other hand, it's VERY aromatic and I only needed a few drops in a diffuser.
