Review on Solid Wood Bed Support Slats by Classic Brands - Bunkie Board for Twin Beds, Fits Most Styles by Timothy Xayamonty

$29, this solved all my problems and saved me so much time and money!

Here is some information for those worried about the size of a double bed. The distance between the side walls of the frame (where the mattress fits) was exactly 39 1/8 inches on this double bed, and the plank slats were the perfect length. Not too long and not too small. Because my daughters beds are a standard double bed and a standard double mattress. I can only surmise that people with boards that were too long had a proprietary (like Disney) bed size so they (Disney or whoever) could sell their "almost" double mattress. when the owners need a new mattress. Otherwise twins are twins (unless they are XL twins) so I don't know why that doesn't work. My daughter only used a bed frame mattress which required a box spring. So one of the 3 boards holding the mattress broke. This product (classic brands, standard double wooden slats) has saved me so much time and money. I expected to have to buy feather blocks (my other daughter has one). same bed and same situation, she just hasn't broken it yet) which I probably would have done, but now I had broken the support board on the bed in half. I've thought about just getting the board from Home Depot and swapping it out, but 1) I'm not handy and 2) all my tools (which I hardly use) are in boxes indefinitely after we move). So I found this product and thought maybe I'll just use one of the pre-cut boards and then buy some box springs. But for $29 it solved all my problems and saved me so much time and money! All I had to do was put planks (connected with nylon tie) where the mattress will go. Since in my case I had 3 boards screwed on, the nylon strap held the two boards in the middle so they weren't quite flat. I could have left it like this, there was plenty of support, but instead I just cut the tape in one spot. So one half of the "board roll" was separated from the other. I'm so happy because it turned out to be so easy and cheap to fix.
